Mary Erskine School, Edinburgh
In autumn 2008, Fairways Sportsgrounds handed over a synthetic hockey pitch at the independent Mary Erskine School, Edinburgh. The specification was for a sand-obscured (dressed) pitch using a LSR:NDR carpet from Edel Grass. This was the first of two installations for Erskine Stewart's Melville Schools and, like the job that followed at Stewart's Melville College, received FIH accreditation (Federation of International Hockey). Apart from the surface installation other works included secure perimeter fencing, floodlighting, new access paths & roadways, & soft landscaping.
