Petershill Park

Opened in summer 2007, Petershill Park is a successful development on the grounds of the former Petershill Juniors football ground in the Springburn area of Glasgow.

Fairways Sportsgrounds was responsible for laying a state-of-the-art synthetic pitch capable of all weather play. The new surface home to Petershill Juniors FC means they were one of the first Scottish junior clubs with a FIFA approved 3rd generation surface. When not in use by Petershill Juniors, the full size pitch can be set out as three seven-a-side pitches for use by the whole community. A further six five-a-side courts were also built by Fairways Sportsgrounds at the north end of the site.

A comprehensive floodlighting system allows night play and this project is now a thriving community success, encouraging the 'concept of inclusion through play'.
