Fairways Sportsgrounds has handed over the second of two Federation of International Hockey-approved synthetic pitches for client, Erskine Stewart’s Melville Schools in Edinburgh.

This latest pitch is for Stewarts Melville College at Queensferry Road and follows on from the success of the pitch laid at the Mary Erskine School site at Ravelston Terrace in Autumn 2008.  Both pitches used the newest Edel Grass carpet technology and feature ball stop kickboards, secure perimeter fencing and extensive access pathway constructions. Floodlight provision means ESMS can extend the use of the facilities to night play and for use by their sports club members.
